I am a little surprised by this, I thought at this point every country had a rule over the real estate industry. They really do need some form of governing body that sees over the industry, if for nothing more than to keep transactions honest and fair.

Here in the states we have a real estate commission within each state that would regulate the industry, licensing agents and so on.

Very true ,the real estate profession in India is very unorganized and un-professional .There has to a regulatory body which can control the Realtors, the whole process of buying in India is a nightmare.
We talk big in India but do not follow the work habits and professionalism of the west .
